In more ways than one, Joseph McClendon III has fulfilled his long-time ambition to be on stage performing in front of thousands of people. Whereas his former dream was to play music for adoring fans, Joseph now helps make people realize the importance of finding true fulfilment in life.

Joseph, the Head Trainer for Robbins Research International, has been leading a portion of Tony’s Unleash the Power Within weekend seminar for years. But it was a series of decisions made in his life’s key defining moments that have contributed to Joseph’s never-ending drive to pay forward a precious gift given to him when he was down and almost out.

Just before his 19th birthday, Joseph was homeless and hungry, possessing nothing but the clothes on his back and just enough gas money to ride his 1937 Harley Davidson motorcycle to see his mother in Ridgecrest, Calif.

“I was close to suicidal on the way home from visiting her,” recalls Joseph. “She asked me if I was doing okay, and I lied to her. The only thing that kept me from running head on into somebody with my motorcycle was the fact I thought that I would hurt them, but I considered it.”

Thinking that things couldn’t get any worse, a retread from a truck in front of him blew out and flew into him, forcing Joseph to take a tumble into the desert. Scarred and in pain, he pushed his bike the remaining 10 miles back to his cardboard shack in Lancaster. Like a protagonist in a hard-luck movie moment, he was soon soaked in pouring rain.

Do you spend every spare minute you have working on your home business online opportunity only to see no results?

Yet we see others in the same or other opportunities creating success like it is a breeze?

Unfortunately, lots of people go through life with ZERO real success despite the fact they are not lazy or even unmotivated. They put in long hours giving it their all just for to be able to pay the bills, and over time the money runs out, causing your business to come to a halt.

What is the difference  between you and the “other guy”?

The difference is that you can be busy doing the right thing or the wrong thing. Doing the right thing, even if it is not for long periods every day, as long as it is consistent will bring you success. Doing the wrong thing every day will only lead you to failure and unfortunately the harder you are working the quicker failure will come.

Jim Rohn has always been an absolute inspiration in my life.

Although I was never lucky enough to meet him in person, his thoughts and quotes on life and human behaviour have always been an absolute inspiration to me. It was his books that really lit my passion for Personal Development, and helped change my life around a full 180 degrees. I put down my all the success in my life from his teachings. I know I would be in a different place right now if it was not for his knowledge and clarifications.

For over 40 years, Jim Rohn has helped people all over the world expand their imagination of what is possible for them. He has been regarded as one of the most influential thinkers and speakers of our time.

Jim has written hundred of books, articles, programs, to help motivate not only the ordinary person, but corporate executives as well.

Here is an excerpt from his website:

Born to an Idaho farming family in the mid-1900s, Jim was ingrained with a work ethic that has served him well throughout his life. At 25, he met his mentor Earl Shoaff. And over the next six years he made his first fortune, yet didn’t get into speaking until he moved to Beverly Hills, California, when a friend at the Rotary Club asked him to tell his success story, which Rohn titled “Idaho Farm Boy Makes It to Beverly Hills.”

When I am doing Coaching with my clients, they often get so absorbed with what is going on around them that they forget the big picture.

Don’t get me wrong, we all have days when we either wake up not feeling the greatest, or even down, or we just have days when nothing goes right. We always find a negative to concentrate on.

Well, this does happen to me! (although I work hard on my Personal Development skills to minimize how often!!) We all tend to focus on the bad things – and of course that is a natural reaction – but when it comes to the “Law Of Attraction” modules, truth has it that it will continue to occur.

I have this video saved in my favourites. When my mind gets misty and I know I need to recharge I watch this video to remind myself of my purpose and achieve clarity.

We all have good days and bad days. But never forget why you have chosen to do what you do. Great things are coming your way/

Having finally given up my full-time employed position earlier this year to pursue my dream of being a successful Online Business Owner, many of my colleagues, friends and family doubted I would make any money online.

And I have to admit, I had doubts too.

Plunging into the massive Internet ocean can be quite daunting. And as the Internet continues to grow and develop, procedures and marketing strategies have to be continually monitored and changed to keep up with the continual trends.

Statistics out there continue to promote that only 3% of Network Marketers actually make any money online. 97% fail.

My question initially is who wrote these stats? And what is the classification of failure?

The Oxford Dictionary quotes the meaning of failure to be:

failure ;

noun 1 lack of success. 2 an unsuccessful person or thing. 3 the omission of expected or required action. 4 an instance or the state of not functioning.

My meaning of failure is none of the above – to me failure is to “quit”!

Ok so we know many people give different things a try. And maybe it did not work, or they may lose interest. They will then say “I failed.” NO THEY DIDN’T – TheyQUIT!

This is why I do not believe in the statistic – 3% / 97%!!!

Although I have been in the Direct Sales and Networking Marketing business for some time, I was never bold enough to commit to working these business full time from home.

Although these were making me great money, the thought of not having that steady and regular income always frightened me.  Failure was always a concern, but the possibility of not being able to pay the bills was the real cruncher for me.  I always had the “what if’s” buzzing around in my head, rather than the “I can’s”.

What I did know is that running and business and working fulltime for an employer was an emotional drain. Focusing on your paid work during the day was difficult when you were worrying about what was going on with the business while you weren’t there. Being unable to contact your prospects in an efficient and timely matter was concerning…because I was just not home to do it. Then, spending all hours of the night awake trying to achieve what you could not do during the day..eventually lead me to be very burnout…and my potential business partners could hear it.  As much as you try to be a Leader and demonstrate your experience and assistance, there are certain parts of your emotions that people sense, even if you are trying your best not to show it. Something had to give….

On September 30th this year, I finally gave up my fulltime job. Full of apprehension and excitement, I knew I was about to enter a new chapter of my life.
